2. Congratulations!  We are thrilled to welcome 4 young people to our church after completing their Confirmation Classes.  Josh Vansteenkiste, Jessica Vanos, Austin Emmons & Justin Slaughter spent 2 days with

Rev. Deborah and friends from the congregation to complete this very important stage of their church life.  

3. Lambton Centre - Sarnia Sting versus Barrie Colts, October 6, 2017
Progressive Ford Arena, Puck Drop at 7:05
Help Lambton Centre by purchasing your tickets ahead of time or purchase pucks for Chuck a Puck to win great prizes. You do not need to be present at the game to participate in the Chuck a Puck event. Tickets in advance:

Adult admission with 3 pucks $25.00
Children (12 and under) with 3 pucks $15.00
Tickets Only: Adult $22 and Children $13
Pucks are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00

4. Contact House:  In our bounty, let us be generous in our givings.  Items are collected here all year long.

5. Please let Rev. Deborah know of anyone in our congregation, community or hospital who would welcome or is in special need of a visit, whether due to illness or as part of the church’s outreach.

The Forest Kiwanis “Canada 150“ Committee is proud to partner with Kettle and Stony Point First Nation to sponsor an evening  “ Honouring Kettle and Stony Point First Nation Veterans” Wed Oct 18 @ 8:30 pm at the Forest Kineto Theatre.  Lorraine George, Band Administrator will be the MC and will introduce a locally produced video about the history and meaning of the Kettle and Stony Point War Memorial . The video will also highlight local stories. Please join us to see both the video and the film “Forgotten Warriors”. There will be opportunity for Q and A. Donations at the door.

7. “Coping with Being Alone” Support Program:  Are you, or someone you know experiencing the loss of a loved one through death, divorce or separation? Sarnia Beginning Experience is offering weekly support group program “Coping with Being Alone” starting Monday, September 18, 2017 and a Weekend retreat from November 3 - 5, 2017. 90th Anniversary Celebrations:  Forest United is celebrating its 90th Anniversary on Oct. 15th, 2017. If you know of former members or friends of Forest United, please invite them to come and celebrate with us on this date.  Forest Excelsior Band will be our special music.  We look forward to enjoying this long standing band.

9. Decorating:  Monday, Oct. 2 at 9:00 a.m. help is needed to beautify the church Sanctuary for Thanksgiving and Anniversary Sundays.  Small pumpkins and gourds are needed.  Please contact Holly Scott 786-6860, or Nancy Cates 786-4950 for further info.
